Healing Anger, Guilt & Shame

Every negative emotion, whether that be anger, apathy, grief, guilt, lust, shame, loneliness, sadness, jealousy, hatred or fear has a story. And when allowed to, those stories can rule your life.

For example, when you feel anger there will be memories of past instances when you felt angry. There will be judgements about the person or situation you feel angry about. There will be beliefs about what should or should not be happening, and what other people should or should not be doing.

You may recognise this drama from the many soap operas that dominate television. This kind of story has no ending for many, many people. Until you choose freedom from your sad soap opera story, instead of enslaving yourself to it, you will never know clarity and calm.

That is the simple truth.


Anger is often a relatively surface emotion, designed to distract us from feeling a deeper pain, which is often created during the early years of childhood.

Fortunately, it is possible to safely release the stuck energy around the causative event without going back into the past to re-experience it. After all, my guess is that experiencing that pain once was more than enough … and you really don’t want to go there again.

Learning to safely release the emotional energy associated with early events – from the safety and security of the present moment – is the essence of emotional healing.

The causes of emotional pain include

  • Relationships where there was a lack of love, appreciation, touch, inclusion, conversation, compassion, kindness, and so on …
  • An inappropriate sexual relationship.
  • Severe physical accidents.
  • Witnessing tragedy in others, eg in a war.
  • Events from previous lives, from which the pain has been brought forward into this life.


Your deep mind, often called the “subconscious”, stores information about everything you’ve ever experienced. It has no verbal language with which to converse with you. Instead it communicates through a subtle feeling sense experienced in your body.

You probably already know this principle as gut instinct or intuition.


I call this the deep story of your body. Through learning to listen to your body’s deep story, in the special way that I teach, you can safely release previously buried emotional energy, which has brought you only suffering.

The result is you will be able to live freely and happily in this present moment, and enjoy a quality of relationships that previously you only dreamed was possible.

None of us can change what happened in the past. What happened, happened, and there’s nothing you or I can do about it.

The good news is that you can release the emotional energy from your memories. This is possible only from the clear light of present moment awareness.

By releasing the energy charge from your memories you can  set yourself free from the past. You’ll always have the memories but you don’t always have to have the pain.

You can set yourself free to enjoy the delights of present moment reality. And hence you set yourself free to create a fare more enjoyable future.
